Hi all I'm going to smoke some wings and drumsticks.Never done it before can someone give me some ideas. Don't want to make them hot but a little on the sweet side. Thanks.

Many folks will marinade these things in all sorts of concoctions.  They don't take too long to smoke, but man do they turn out great.  Poke around and search for wing threads until you find an idea or two that strike your fancy.  I would use a fruit or nut wood on these rather than hickory or mesquite (personal preference).

Try a dry rub, smoke for about two hours on 250° if the skin isn't crisp do what Al said.

Try a barbecue sauce and add a bit of red hot and butter for tang, heat the sauce until it thickens, add to your wings and place back on smoker.

Drumsticks can go a bit longer than wings and drumettes.

You can remove the wing tip leaving the mid joint and drumette, the wing tip has no meat.

I don't marinade but others do.

thanks all i will give it a try will post pics. one more thing should i soak the wood or just toss it in?
