good evening all going to give tri-tip a try on the smoker tomorrow in the am for kids T-ball party.

I bought three untrimmed tri-tips to save some $$. Trimmed them up tonight and put 18 leg thigh combos in brine. I will pull them out an hour early tomorrow and dry rub them prior to starting the smoke.

Here are some pics of the trimmed fat cap, and the fatless tri-tips. Forgot to take some before trimming. Figured you all did not need another picture of chicken being brined in a 2 1/2 gallon bag.

Rain has put the event on hold. Waiting to hear if they are rescheduling for Sunday. If not the chicken and tri-tip will go on the smoker this afternoon and we will be eating good tonight. We have friends coming over anyways so nothing will go to waste.

More pictures to come if meat goes in the smoker toda.

Stay Tuned

Everything turned out great, I had to put the chicken on my little table top propane weber to get to the final temperature. Need to allow more time. Everyone enjoyed.
