MES temp probe

OK it is my turn for a stupid  question .

did any off you MES owners drill a hole in the door off the MES and fix in a temp' prob (like in a reverse flow )so you can glance at the temperature as you pass by.if yes did it work?

Nope, all I do is feed the Probe down through the top vent since I keep it all the way open it works great.  I usually have several probes going at once...
 
You can just shut the door on the wire too, it won't hurt the probe wire or the door insulation.
 
If it were me I would not drill a hole in the door. I would get a digital therm and run the wire through the top vent or in the door, then shut the door on the wire.
