Had some friends over for the weekend, wanted something to WOW them.. 

I made my Corned Beef and Cabbage that is always a crowd pleaser, but also made 2 briskets.  One with Jeff's rub and one with a mix of peppers and spices that I could find at midnight..

Everyone loved all 3!!  I thought it would have more of a smoke ring, any ideas why not???

that looks like an MES, if so, many members say they can't get a good smoke ring with it.

The brisky looks very moist and tender,

Sorry, no pics of the CB and Cabbage...
 
Maybe no smoke ring, but it looks delicious and your guests gobbled it up! For the most part you need to burn charcoal & or wood to get a large smoke ring.
