Hey guys,

I have a Brinkman Vertical gas smoker and have been having a lot of smoke issues. I couldnt seem to stop smoke from boiling out of every crevice of the smoker and I ruined a couple of fatties last week. so I am out playing with it today and raised my chip pan up a few notches. Now, my chunks are doing a nice slow char and producing smoke. The problem is, there is so little smoke you cant even see it come out of the top vent. I know the goal is TBS, is it too little when you cant see it?

Hear ya on the smoke loss...have a newer verticle gasser from Master Forge I plan on doing some mods to around the doors with fiberglass rope designed to use in wood stoves. I'd suggest going up to the search bar and typing in Brinkman Verticle mods and see if others fixed the issue with some tweaks.

If you smell the smoke you are getting smoke. Barely being able to see the smoke is what you want, I would leave it alone and do a couple of smokes that way and see how you like the results.

Exactly - If you are still not happy with the amount of smoke for $30 you can always get the A MAZE N SMOKER from Todd and it will  put out the perfect amount of smoke

Good luck
