New to the forum. Got me a new grill/smoker this weekend and have been running it hot and heavy for a couple days now. Anyrate, interested in seeing what's around the site. Looking forward to BS'ing with you.

Welcome from another Pacific NW smoker. I have only been on here about a week and have found some great recipies and advice. When I found the Fatties, I just had to try it and was not disappointed. Without the advice on here and my wifes help, I am sure it would not have been the success it was.

Ask questions and share what you are smoking. I already learned pictures, pictures, pictures!

Welcome and enjoy the forum.  If your new to smoking take a look at Jeff's 5 day E course.

Welcome to the forum, we see to be developing a nice strong Pac. NW contingent lately... lol. Gonna give those southern folks a run for their money, heh-heh.

I too am a NWesterner. I am located in SW Washington. I have been BBQ competing for about 6 years now and making sausage for about 3. If you need any help just give me a shout.

I got a Traeger Texas. A definite step up from my Big Chief smoker & Weber grill. I got it Friday and haven't done much just yet. Friday night after I got it set up, I made a couple pounds of snack sticks. Saturday morning, I made sticky buns for a breakfast treat, and for dinner made a brisket (read: train wreck), round steaks, asparagus and scalloped potatoes. The brisket turned out like garbage. It was a corned beef brisket...so I didn't have high expectations to begin with. I tried a recipe I found online, but it turned out the consistency of a super-ball. Had I thrown it out in the street, it probably would have done some damage to the neighbors vehicles...

Everything else was pretty decent. I am still learning so my expectations are pretty low at this point. But, I am looking forward to the ride...
