Now congrats on all the new toys for sure. Now you will be eating some really good vittles in no time. So get to smoking and don't forget the Q-view please.

What was the model number of the MES 40 you got at Sams Club. I ask because the controller on the smoker in your picture appears different than the controller for the #20070810 that is shown on the Sams Club website. The white buttons on the controller on the Sams Club #2007810 smoker run along the bottom edge of the controller whille the white buttons on your smoker run along the top edge in a semi-circle.

Just asking because I am in the middle of selecting/buying a MES40 smoker for myself.

Mine is the 211. But don't let that scare you. It showed me the same model, but at the store they had the new model on the floor. They probably haven't upgraded it on their site.

I'm wondering if the one you're thinking about buying is an old model.

The old models' digital controls were kinda "upright" (easy to read at eye level), and the new ones are kinda laid back--easier to read from above, but you have to be a little bit above the new one to read it.

I can't actually go in to a Sams Club (there are none near my home) so I can only look at the info on their website. The website shows only the MES40  #2007810 for sale and it is in a  "This item is out of stock for delivery" status at the moment. The more current #20070211 model (with remote) is nicer than the older  #2007810 but is not shown on the Sams Club website.

Those that can just drop in at a Sams store, see exactly what model is on hand, and then buy that model if they like it (without any shipping costs) are the "lucky ones". Maybe I should cool my heels until spring and see what happens when Masterbuilt realeases next year's models and the Sam's club website is updated and the items are available for shipping.

Oh, and my congratulations to Smokamotive for snagging such a nice MES 40 at Sams Club.
