This will be the last smoke posted using my MES 30.

My New MES 40 will be taking over.

OK, here we go, playing games again, because Mrs Bear doesn't want her's smoked.

Oh Well, here goes:

Two small Ribeyes.

Mine on left with CBP, Onion powder & Garlic Powder (over night).

Mrs Bear's on right with Ken's Teriyaki Marinade (4 hours).

Thank You RdKnB, Dean, and Marlin, for your nice comments!

You go papa Bear! Why doesn't mama Bear like hers smoked? I really do like a nice grilled ribeye too. Love the potatoes and green beans, that is the perfect accompaniment to a perfectly cooked steak! So what are you going to do with the MES 30?

Mama Bear is a meat smoker's nightmare (especially a Bear who can't seem to get enough smoked stuff)!

She would rather have a Pork roast, Chuckie, Ribs, or Brisket made in the crock pot or oven, than a perfectly smoked & pulled Boston Butt, etc...!

She likes my Bacon, Canadian Bacon, BBB, Smoked Pork Chops, but the non-cured stuff, she would rather have no smoke!

She doesn't complain, but after nearly 42 years, I know!

The part I can't understand is how she has such great taste in men, yet not in food?!?!

I cleaned the little guy up and put it in my garage for emergency!

Like if I have something already cured, and it has to be smoked, and my big guy has a problem (knock on wood).

Thanks,

Bear

Beautiful steak, Bear.  I have the same situation around here with the missus.  Fortunately, I have two freezers to handle all the stuff I smoke.

Hey Bear!

LOOKS GREAT!!

I just pulled ribeyes out for dinner.

How long did you smoke the Ribeye?

I am assuming you just smoked it and finished it on the grill....Correct?

Thanks Bassman,

I only have a 7 cu ft chest freezer for my meat, but my kid always has room in the two uprights he has in the shop (about 100 yards away).

Thanks Todd,

I gave it a little heat too---Preheated to 100˚.

Filled both end rows of my 6 X 6 AMNS with Cherry, and lit both ends.

Smoked until the meat hit 96˚ (1 1/2 hours).

Actually I took it out because it was 10 minutes before Supper.

The AMNS took the heat up from 100˚ to 144˚ in smoker by itself, but it was 70˚ outside.

Started Mrs Bears for a minute or two before I removed mine from smoker, then caught it up bon the Weber "Q".

Mine was great.

She said so was hers.

Bear I've gotten some great thick cut ribeyes on the weber genesis since we spoke about it. However our camera is on the fritz. I haven't been able to capture my smokes or some of the fun stuff I've done on the grill. My birthday is coming up on the 4th ( the big 28) and I'm hoping my better half might pick us up a new digital because I know she has seen how sad I've been not being able to share with you guys. Anyway those ribeyes are lookin mighty fine!

bear the sreak looks great,  funny but my misses also does not prefer the smoked food  all her meat must be wellllllllllllllll done and uf there us even the slightest look of pink or juice she will not only send it back, but will lose her appetite.  so explaining about smoke rings it like talkong to the wall     oh well, more for  me i guess!!!

Well Papa Bear your steaks look fantastic again. I guess I'm lucky for my wife wouldn't mind if I smoked everything. She loves it all smoked, grilled, or HOW EVER I COOK IT. No I love to cook and she lets me.

Yup, You're lucky Mark!

My son's wife loves the stuff we smoke too.

Anything I smoke, I can hand some over to them, and the kid gives me some of his overflow too.

The wife doesn't help any on the elimination of leftover smoked goodies. I guess that's just more for us, and her loss!
