I got my first smoker on Sunday, seasoned it yesterday, and am attempting to smoke chops tonight (not much time after work and before bed!).

I have a Masterbuilt 40" Electric Smoker

I subscribed for the smoking course....

And i have absolutely no idea what I'm doing!    I have a family party in September and the guest of honor wanted smoked meats of all manner.   I'm practicing between now and then... Based on what I have seen, this is definitely more of an art than a science!

Welcome to the forum.  Just stick with us and you'll be smoking like a pro in no time.

Welcome aboard and congrats on the new smoker!  As you've probably found, there is a ton of great information and recipes here on SMF, along with some of the greatest folks!  Read, read, read and then some more...if you have questions post'em up and someone will be more than glad to get you ready for that big September smoke!  Consider ordering Jeff's rub, you probably seen on the home page, the sauce is excellent too and they both go well with so many different things and its purchase also supports the site.

Welcome to SMF - glad to have you here with us and looking forward to your posts

Am I missing something?    I see a link to buy Jeff's rub recepie, but not a link to buy the rub itself....... Maybe I mis-understood - can you get the rub itself?
