Finally got my charcoal baskets from my father in law.

The Basket is had a diameter of 14in with a height of 14in I just need to add some feet on it to raise it up.  It is sitting on a 1in lip that may work during seasoning I will find out.

As a bonus he threw in some grills as well

Now I get to season this UDS and it will be complete.

Is there just the one air intake valve at the bottom of your UDS?

I am in for two and I know of two other that did the same thing.

no I have three intake valves the one you see in the picture is a ball valve the other two are pipe nipples.

I just went to big lots to buy that grill and damnit they are already sold out and are only selling just the few type grills they have left. Wth its still summer why would they be phasing out grills in florida?? its always grilling season here.

ok I just drove a few cities away to a big lots that had the grill and just tried it on my drum and wouldnt you know my drum has a bigger opening than the lid, grrr i think god really loves me!!

maybe i can bend the edges to make fit but if i bend it all up and it still wont fit then i cant return it, anyone have to mod one yet?

did you try the botton I saw someone mod the bottom to be a lid.
