Would this work on metal?

I found this high temp, fire stop caulk, would it work to seal around the smoke stack, and where the firebox and main chamber connect, or would this not work with metal?

It might, but considering it's for interior use, I would think there may be issues with it for an outdoor smoker.

Not sure, most of this stuff puts off fumes I dont want to eat..... But a welder would seal that up for sure... ?

It says good for patching fireplaces and wood stoves so I would say yes seeing as most wood stoves are metal.  I have used this product before and after it has cured properly (about 72hrs) it no longer gives off any fumes.  Unless you choose to take your temps up to 2000 degrees (not a smoker friendly temp).

not trying to pick a fight D but ya cant always smell bad stuff. Regardless use whatever ya find fit, but no sealants on my stuff. Course if we wanted to split hairs wonder how many carsenigans are in burning wood,,, None of this matters.

Well this is only going to be used on the outside of the smokers.
