Decided to celebrathe the beginning of the long weekend with a nice porterhouse. (Wife and kids wanted pizza, so this was all for me )
Nice and thick.
I coated in a layer of sea salt and pepper and let it sit for an hour, then rinsed and dried thoroughly.
On the little Weber with lump charcoal and a chunk of apple wood. (it was the only kind I had on hand and added a nice mellow background)
Steamed these in the microwave for a min then coated with olive oil and S&P.
Baby Potrabella mushrooms cooked in butter, garlic, onions, chicken stock and marsala wine. Awesome flavor.
Finished plate with some nice crusty french bread and some of moms potato salad.
My plate is too small :-)
Perfection
Alittle of the mushroom marsala sauce on top. (I had to move the asparagus to make room)
It was at this point I put the camera down for good and dove in. A most excellent start to the weekend. Thanks for looking.
