Decided to have a little fun today.  Picked up a three pack of Costco's Loin Back Ribs.

Now for the sampler pack, from left to right:

1) Jeff's Rub

2) Famous Dave's Rib Rub

3) Tatonka and Cayenne

I will probably use a couple of different sauces on them also so the fam can pick their favorite.

More to come!

How about sauce half of each rack other half dry? Looks like a great start!

Interesting thought - I'll have to see if I can get buy-in on that one

I think we've decided on a third dry, a third with Jeff's, and a third with Carolina Honey Vinegar.  I'll have to put some Devil's Spit on a couple just for me of course

Here is the pic off of the smoker.  Total cook time 5 hours running 180 to 190 for the first hour and around 240 to 250 most of the time.  Had to foil wrap and throw in a cooler until the family returns:

Looks good. Can't wait to hear how they turned out.

As far as results go: the kids couldn't remember which rib I gave them so who knows what they preferred.  It seemed they liked the Famous Dave's rub with the Carolina Honey Vinegar sauce, they don't do spicy.

For the wife and I, we both like spicy.  Our top rib was the Tatonka and Cayenne with no sauce.  Our second place would be the Tatonka and Cayenne with Jeff's sauce.  We both felt that Famous Dave's rub lacked much of any flavor on the finished product.  For those that prefer some spice but not a great deal, Jeff's rub and Jeff's sauce was great all around.

Nothing wrong with eating 9 ribs just to get through a taste test!

Nice looking ribs and I may be a tad biased but I am also very happy with you and your wife's choices!

You, biased?  I never would have thought!  The TD is some great stuff, thank you for a great product!
