I've been traveling for the last 9 days and desperately need a smoke fix! Since tomorrow is #2 son's birthday, we decided to get busy!

12 pound full packer for tomorrow, 2 Chuck roasts for BBQ sammichs tonight, and that wee little thing in the bottom is what the neighbor lady asked me to smoke. When she saw us getting the smoker ready, she went to the store and bought a "brisket".

This cook will also be the first time I've used all 4 probes on the Tappecue.

I'm really liking the Tappecue. I went to the store earlier and was able to see what was happening temp wise on my iPhone. I may get a webcam set up at a later date and really go full smoke geek!

Here's a link to my smoking session, you can click on it and see what temps I'm at and the graph of the whole cook.

Great looking cook, Charlie. And that brisket was awesome, moist and really nice smoke ring. :points:

I've always been the #2 son in my family and I was an only child.

Nice looking Packer!

After using the Tappecue for a while, what options would you recommend getting with it from the basic unit...upgrades/protective box/ etc?

I bought the Tappecue with 4 probes and decided against the box they have.  For several years I've used a "tupperware" type box for my Auber when it sprinkles, so I figured it would work just as well for the Tappecue.

Thank you.  I had a Taylor die and am still researching for upgrade.
