Went and picked up 5 drummie and 5 bone thighs from my local butcher and paid 5 dollars for it. My wife said wow those are some large legs are they from a chicken or a turkey?
Fresh cut aspargus from local shop
yellow potatoes in butter that were cooked on my weber.
chicken cooking on the smoker. Got nice colors and took longer than normal because they were pretty large. 5 legs weighed almost 3 lbs.

Final dish!

Doing 2 whole chickens on the spit next Tuesday over hickory and cherry with a pan of beer... reverse beer can chicken.

What are they feeding the chickens down there? Those are some good sized drums.

Looks delicious!
maybe barley and hops? Not sure but I thought the same. Grocery store leg quarters weigh what one leg weighs. These took almost hour longer than store bought chicken legs or quarters.

Adam they are huge,I have picked up big thighs but never seen legs like them.Nice job on cooking them points

Thanks Brian, I'm really getting the temp control down on it and my wife might not like that as I think I'll need a bigger one soon and just use this for tailgating and chicken like this. Perfect size for it.

thanks Richie! I'm thinking these are raised locally because we used to get 8 to 9 lb while chickens also.
