Ribeyes on the “Q”

Had a good sale this week at our main weekly shopping store “Giant”.

They have Bone-in Ribeyes for $6.77, but if you get more than 3, the price is only $5.77 per pound.

So who buys less than 3 Ribeyes when it’s at that price???

We already had 4 Ribeyes in the freezer, so we only got 10 Steaks this time.

Got some CSRs too, but that will be another smoke.

I didn’t feel like veggies, so we just went with Meat & Taters (Curly Fries) for a change.

My Weber “Q” did a Great Job again!!

Thanks for stopping by,
Bear

Looks great, Bear! IMHO the bone-ins are better than the boneless and usually a little cheaper.
We usually have leftovers, too, but the Mrs always makes steak&eggs while I'm at work and I come home to a sheepish grin.....

Thanks, Bear, for opening a wound that is still sore. My local Safeway had USDA bone-in ribeye steaks for $6.77 a pound. A great price so I bought four. THIS week...$5.97/lb. Looks like I'm headed back to Safeway.

And I tell you, you really know how to choose steaks. They're all beauties and cooked perfectly. I bought mine last week for Father's Day. Plan to do some Surf & Turf action since Safewaqy also sells 8 oz. lobster tails. They'll all be grilled over charcoal briquettes (as nature intended) inside my Weber 22.5" One Touch Silver. My good friend Jted last year sent me a little mesh sleeve he made to use as a wood pellet smoker in a grill. I might stuff some oak or mesquite in there to add to the flavor profile. It think hickory would overpower the ribeye and lobster flavors.

Somehow I should be able to award you more points for all the great food in those photos. One just ain't enough.

Sounds like some Great Father's Day Vittles, Rick!!

I had that happen to me a few years ago. I bought a mess of "Choice" Standing Rib @ $5.99. Then the following week they had it for $4.99, and I was tapped out !!!

Thanks to my beloved wife, I went back to the store and bought a package of 3 steaks at the lower price. They'll be grilled up tomorrow for Memorial Day.  My favorite bro-in-law will be our diner guest, which is why I bought that pack. I'll be grilling up some vegies (including asparagus and tomatoes, another to be decided) and the wife will make potato salad from scratch. I'll post Gview (as opposed to Qview) photos of the finished products if not photos of the process.
