Finally got my Smokey Mountain out of storage, cleaned up and ready to run - the presents are wrapped in the fridge:

Chicken drumsticks, pork butt, scotch eggs, and a couple steaks for the morning.

The night before...

Morning!

Got the chimney goin and combined smoker-startup with breakfast making

First time I've ever used it like this...

SUPER hot

Steak and eggs, pretty awesome flavor! Side of smashed cauliflower

At this point, I've got the pork butt and chicken drums (jerk seasoning in OJ, and sesame ginger w/papaya) in the smoker for an hour or two, letting it do it's thing.

More to come in a few hours!

I really like that idea of grilling right on the chimney.

I have to try that.

Looking forward to seeing the rest of the show.

Me, too, Al. It's a lot of fun, and it gets crazy hot. Plus, steak and eggs for breakfast on a smoke day...it just kinda fits.

Great job on everything.  I've never seen that method of cooking a steak, but it sure seems like a keeper.  I love Scotch Eggs, but have never smoked them, and it goes without saying that nothing beats PP.

I would say you had a great, and very full, day.

Man, now that's what I call a smoking day.
Good smoke.

Thanks, Gary, more like a full week! I've got enough food for a while now. I can't stress how pleased I was with the Afterburner Method (that's what I've seen it called). Creative, fun, and very effective.

This is a great thread of a great smoking day. Love the qview and I got a few ideas.

Thanks!
