Anyone interested in a group buy for pellets. I'm open to suggestions.  I can store them until pick up...I am using the REC TEC pellets currently however I'm open to suggestions.  2,000 lbs of REC TEC pellets are between .44 & .50 per pound depending on the mix.

Let me know on here, I'm thinking by end of May.

I'm in NW Akron, Ohio

I do bulk buys from bbqpelletsonline.com. The last order I placed was for 5 tons. For one ton shipped to Montana worked out to $7.50/bag, of course with the 5 ton order the price dropped to about $6.30/bag. The LumberJack brand pellets have worked great. Tons of flavora and blends to pick from. Also great customer service.

Something doesn't compute here unless you are talking about 20 lb bags.  A ton is right around $495.  I got a ton of 40 lb bags shipped to MN (only a few hours from the plant) for $11 a 40 lb bag ($550 total).

We order 20# bags, 100 bags/ton. The freight to Montana was included in the $7.50/bag.

That's what I figured.  Bulk is the only way to go if you have the space and if you have the funds.  It's a lot of money to hand over at one time, but saves you a bunch in the long haul.
