So my mother in law and sister law came over to help the wife build a desk she wanted for our office today. It didn't start off well as the furniture place gave me 2 boxes of 1 of 2 and no 2 of 2... I figured they were smart enough when loading me not to check so I strapped it down (this was the same day we had just closed on our first home). So now that my MIL and SIL ran back the wrong box and got the correct one they are assembling it with my wife (know to stay out of their way and let them just work).;) so I cut the grass and cleaned up to see they are still working on it (2 hours in) and they need to eat before leaving my house. I was raised even when people say no still cook for them and when it looks to good and smells to good they will just eat instead of arguing. So I ran to the meat market and asked for thick pork steak (these are normal in my mind) and picked 3 up. Seasoned them with a touch of cherry seasoning and them placed them on the kettle with apple and cherry wood indirect. Other part is roasted reds in the oven.

can't grill without little refreshment.

MIL ought to be happy with that pork as part of a meal.  I think that the saying, "If Mama ain't happy, ain't no body happy" probably goes for Mama in law too.  You did good, I think.

Good looking kettle and the grass looks spot on congrats on the new digs!

First smoke in the new digs??  Congrats.

Gary
Well 3rd cook. Did a brisket on the gasser the other day and some chicken when moving. (Burgers don't count)

Pretty kettle you've got there.  Thumbs Up

Thanks OEJ! They're great people. I'm lucky... plus they didn't get mad I cooked. Just don't tell my immediate family I cooked for the in laws here before them..

Thanks Richie! Never to many!

What a great day! I really like the gold weber. Nicely done. Enjoy! b
thanks Brian. I do love my gold copper weber! Used it for a roto chicken.

Yup... Seems everyone cooks on a black kettle.  Dad taught me how to cook on a green kettle. I own a green one now. But those copper units are really beautiful.
Yes very nice! I like the colors they have for people now. Most customers are not looking for what a grill does but how it looks so Weber did well with that. The blue looks pretty good as well. Not sure if you have seen all the different colors they have for their q series but lots of options.
