My daughter asked if I would make pulled pork for the cast of her high school musical. There are 55 kids in the show. I was figuring on cooking (4) 8lb butts will this be enough? They are going to have mac and cheese also.
 
 
Yes each butt should feed about 16 people.

You haven't met these kid's they can eat. We live in the middle of a farming community Lol  thanks for the input

For future reference figure about a 1/3 pound per person when serving with sides. Keep in mind you'll only get about 50-60% yield from bone in butts once cooked.

We actually had one vegan in the cast. She opted for Subway... LOL The parents have been supplying meals all week and not one of them didn't have meat in them.

Sad, as a vegan cannot get all the things they need from veggies such as vitamins b12 and k. 1st world issues.

I totally agree and they miss out on some very tasty meals. I can't blame the child this is how their parents have chosen to bring them up.
