It's our anniversary this weekend so on the dinner menu are two of my favorites - tri tip and chicken legs. Going with KBB and a mix of hickory and cherry. This will be my second TT in a week!

Coming along...a couple hours into it. TT @ 129 IT

Loving the color on the legs

Searing the TT and crisping up the chicken skin over the WSM leftover coals. Pretty versatile smoker.

All done!! Just unwrapped and ready to be sliced.

Sliced up!

Decent smoke ring for such a short smoke

My first plate :)  TT, leg, mashed potatoes, and a green been casserole.

Thanks for looking!

Bryce

Nice looking smoke! Two of my favorites also!

With the fire bans this year we ended up using the WSM base several times as a fire pit too. Cook dinner, pull the body off and add fire wood. Worked great until they banned all fires.

Happy Anniversary!

Thanks Case. I know you're the tri tip king buddy. I think I might have first heard about smoking tri tip from one of your posts. Loving the WSM. So glad I bought that smoker.

Thanks for the compliments and sorry about the bans!

Thank you!

Thanks Dave. Do you ever smoke tri tip? If not, give it a shot. Smokes fast and takes on smoke well resulting in a great taste when you're short on patience.

Yeah b_one. I don't look much at the price I just go for it. It's that good to me.

I haven't yet. I've been meaning to for awhile now. That may have to be on the list for this coming weekend.
