I've seen all kinds of remedies but this one really works............I have 2 of these units and after a 20 hour butt cook, I can have the inside of the window completely clean in 10 minutes.  Simply go to Dollar Store and buy a $0.99 bottle of "Awesome".  Get some paper towels and spray side to side starting from the top.  You will immediately see the grease running.  Keep spraying, working from top to bottom and wiping with paper towels.  This method really works!

I've used Chlorox spray cleaner on my wood burning fire place glass doors that smoke up and cake with creosote. Spray on liberally and wipe down with paper towels. May need to repeat once or twice. Gets the job done on my fire place windows so should work for smoker glass window as well (don't have a smoker with a glass window - so don't know for sure).

 Alcohol works just fine also.

Alcohol is fer drinkin', not cleanin'.

Whats the chemical conent in "Awesome" ???  You may want to consider re-seasoning the smoker before smoking your next batch of meat . . .

Wow that really does work. Better not get any "awesome" on your skin.

I have a bottle of it at home I got for $1 at the Dollar Tree.  I've been using oven cleaner because it clings and I barely press the nozzle to hit a lot of small areas.  It works instantly and I use a squeegee from the bottom up and wipe it on paper towels.  Without a squeegee it works but takes a ton of paper towels smearing grease/smoke residue around.  Then I wash the window with a little soap and water or vinegar and water to remove chemicals.

Just thought I'd mention:

No matter what chemical or non chemical you use to clean the window, if you let it go a few smokes or more, and it gets on there pretty heavy, it makes things an awful lot easier if you scrape it off with a razor blade scraper, like a Widget. I found I can get at least 90% off with that before washing.

Bear you have seen lots of my smokes,I did neglect cleaning the window.I now have a full spray bottle of vinegar ready. All washed and rinsed ready to re-season.

I looked up Awesome MSD

Mostly orange oil and TSP with alcohol.

Note small amounts of TSP are used as an ingredient in many foods.

I have some LA's Awesome Cleaner and have tried it on the glass and found both Simple Green and Weber Grill cleaner to work better for me, can't speak for others. Ditto for cleaning the racks.

I used a scraper from my smooth cooktop stove like "Bearcarver" after loosening it up with vinegar. Worked great
