Rib-Eyes on the old ECB

I had a few Rib-eyes in the fridge that needed grilling.

Got out the trusty old ECB, used the middle section for the base, (to raise up the lower section) for easy grilling.

Steaks seasoned up and in the fridge.

About a half chimney of Kingsford, and some Hickory chunks for awesome flavor.

The old ECB is a multi-function unit.

Got her out and ready to go

Charcoal ready

Steaks ready

Coals Ready

Some Hickory chunks

Wife's steak is the first on

Then the Grandson's

And finally mine

All cooked and ready

And a shot of mine     Also had baked Potatoes   Mmmmmm

Thanks for looking

Thank's   My special steak seasoning fresh batch

Great looking steaks. Rib eye can't be beat. You're really patient, I can't seem to make that many pictures during a cook. But, the pics really tell the story better. BTW, I have done a search and I can't find anywhere to buy "Gary's special steak seasoning".

They really turned out awesome, Joe

The two Rib Eyes on one plate were Select, that were on sale for $6.99 lb. The one by its self was a CAB Choice $10.99 lb.  Good meat is getting way to high

I can remember when a choice T-bone was $.99 lb,   But I'm old

Nice looking supper man and It must be a Texas thingie, You cooked 'em just like I like 'em. Knock off the horns, wipe the other end and run 'em across the fire one time!

Nice lookin steaks.

I am cookin brisket today for lunch tomorrow, wish I could do it as well as you! Gonna be hard to serve chicken and shrimp gumbo for supper with that brisket smell in the air....LOL

Hey Gary.  NICE steaks.  I just happened to notice that the last one on was about the same size as the other 2 put together.  Can't say I find anything wrong with that--meat is the MEAL, everything else is just an add on.  Beautiful color on the finished steaks. Wish I was there to tie into one.

Thanks Gary for the compliment and point.

I'm a little late to the party, as usual, but I've been traveling...

Those look great, but the shot of yours is perfection!  I may have to do this on Sunday!

Charcoal is the ONLY way to go with steak IMO.
