Kids wanting some pulled pork when we see them so decided why not , cut this monster into couple (more bark- better pulled pork IMO)

I will put in Food saver bags and freeze for them here they are all rubbed down put on smoker ready to get "happy-happy" smoking with cherry/apple/hickory

Thank  you Gary and thanks much for the point!

Well, back from going to visit the kids/grandkids, the PP was a hit as was the smoked baked beans and my homemade killer cole slaw.

Hey Congrats, Always makes you feel good when everybody enjoys it

Looks great! I just expect pics generally, I don't think I've ever put qview in the title but don't hold me to that. I agree the more bark the better! To that end the last butts I did I removed all outer fat so I didn't waste usable bark turned out great.

Thanks!!! You have inspired me to try one with the fat cap removed, I'm all about the bark and meat "marrying" in the Pulled pork!

What size were these and how long did each take?

Did you foil them at the stall, or keep them uncovered the entire time?

Thanks!

They were about 6 pounds each(after cutting in half) , I never foil butts (or ribs)  as I recall they took about 10-11 hours @ approx 245*
