Whatcha you have and like under 200 bucks. This is next adventure after bacon. Got a cheap Cabelas grinder. Don't want to really stuff with it. Bying online tonight while wife isnt looking. Thanks.

I have the LEM 5#er, hell I didn't even know it had a brass wear bearing till Case's misadventure.

I love mine. I have put a couple a hundred pound thru it easily in the last year and a half.

I think Case's problem was the customer service attitude with an unusual problem with his new stuffer. There are a bunch of LEM owners here and I believe Case's problem was the exception to the rule. The problem was simply handled improperly.

You can look at it one of two ways, what if I get the next exception to the rule, or They simply don't get enough problems to properly train their customer service reps. to deal with it. I agree it was improperly handles, I agree I have not been impressed with their CSR either, but my stuffer is a quality made piece of equip. So is my grinder!

And in my book, and business, customer service is everything, and has always been. That is why I will never buy another LEMon again. I was given a defective product that should have been replaced, but then got the run around on how my methods caused the problems. Once I got new parts ( not a new stuffer) the stuffer has worked as it should. However I had to waste my time dealing with their customer service, if you can call it that. Tear apart and reassemble my stuffer so it would work. Which it does now, even though they blamed me for issue. "Add more water". The matching on the new parts versus the old ones were day and night difference. So quality control is another issue. So there'sy unbiased review.

Make sure that the stuffer you buy has a vent on the piston to release air, maybe they all do now. I have a stuffer from the 80's without a vent and it causes many blowouts !

Falconblack 1  Check out the 3 sizes that Princess Auto carry. I have the 11 Lb model and it works great..I personally think the 15 Lb sits up too high to crank comfortably. This will save you exchange and customs (as i see that your in Manitoba)

I have the same one. No problems after almost 2 years. My only complaint is the plastic gears, but as I've said, I haven't had any problems with it. Just have to be careful not to crank to far near the end.

Cant one buy the Northern stuffer and find stainless steel replacement parts for cheap?  That would be a win.  Those plastic parts wont last.

Yes, from what I read on another thread.... If memory serves I think Bear was talkin bout a friend of his that done that..... I realize nothing "lasts forever" but I think, just my humble opinion that folks are reading way too much into the plastic gears... I have the Northern & have not had an issue with mine & I know there's others on here that have the same one & not heard of any issues so far ! When my plunger gets close to the bottom, I just go a little slower... But honestly I'd do that with any stuffer I bought plastic or metal gears....Again, just my 2 cents !

The northern tool one comes with 3/4", 7/8". & 1" tubes.  The LEM comes with 1/2", 3/4" and 1".  There are a lot of complaints about the 3/4 on the Northern Tool stuffer not being small enough.

I got mine off Northern Tool website but is actually a Kitchener Brand, includes 1/2" , 7/8" & 1" tubes !
