I am currently building a new smoke house, I am building it similar to "cedar smokehouse" but instead of cedar im using field stone! Anyway, I have looked high and low for a thermometer with a large face that I can put on the outside of the house and will tell me the internal temp of my smokehouse with out opening the door. Anybody have any ideas?

digital. Maverick, polder, thermoworks, there are some others. You should have a wireless one with at least two probes one for the chamber and one for the meat. The reciever unit can be with you wherever you are around the place. I don't know of a super accurate dial thermometer out there.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a cloudy and rainy day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.
