It's that time of year, the first Kingsford Blue Bag charcoal sale.  2 pak for $9.88.  They cut the size of each bag from 20lbs to 18.6 lbs but that will works out to 37.2 lbs.  Basically 26 cents a pound.

Stock up if you need to.  The next sale will be Memorial Day weekend.

My wife sent me down to get a safety check on my daughters car and HD is a block away from them and I stopped in after seeing your post.

The advertising says 2x18.6 for $9.88. There are five pallets of 2x18.6 right as I walked in with that price listed... I walk over to the BBQ section and there are 2x20 lbs there for the same price!!!

Just a heads up! You might want to walk a couple of aisles over for the bigger bag for the same price...

Just finished using my last bag breaking in my mini. Be there in the AM Thanks for posting

So I go into HD today to get some fluorescent light bulbs and the sale sign is still up and there are three bundles of the 2x18.6 bags that are rewrapped and discounted another 20% because of a broken bag! I show considerable restraint by buying only two of them!!!! 74 lbs of KBB for $16...

I also picked up a bag of pecan chunks for $2.50!

Wood chunks yesterday I got 1 bag each, Apple,Pecan and Mesquite

There were apple, mesquite and hickory chunks also at my local HD but I passed on them because guava wood is suppose to be VERY similar to Apple wood and its a weed here; I can get "Hawaiian mesquite" (kiawe) here and it's WAY better than the real thing! I have nothing against hickory, and have been using it professionally for over 25 years, but I have better options for at home smokes...

The sale has ended at HD.  Back to regular prices.  I was out of town and couldn't take advantage of the sale but I still have plenty from last year's Memorial Day sale, which usually starts the weekend prior to MD.  Memorial Day will be the next $9.88 / 2 pack sale.  Then July 4th and finally Labor Day.
