Well today I took my new BTLE out for the maiden voyage. I cut up some spare ribs into St Louis cuts. Jeff's rub. Also tried my hand for the first time smoking homemade baked beans.

All rubbed down waiting to go on.

Started the Beans.

All ready to go on the smoker.

All loaded up.

3 hour mark time for wrapping. Honey, Brown sugar & apple juice.

Also cut up the rib tips I smoked once I made the St Louis cut and put that in the beans.

2 hrs later, unwrapped and back on the smoker.

Done and cut ready to eat.

Hope you enjoy the pics, I know I sure enjoyed the grub. Beans, ribs and cornbread was awesome.

Thanks for looking.

After this week, I'm all chickened out. I said to my wife that I could go for some ribs. This is exactly what I'm in the mood for.

Altramagnus - can I ask where you got the flex pipe to extend the pipe down to the grate?   I believe we have the same smoker and was thinking of doing the same thing - is it as easy as a pipe used for a clothes dryer?   Thanks in advance, and the pics were aweosme!
