I've went through two of them in about a year.  The first one i bought was just on a whim at a local place and it was made of plastic.  After a couple uses, i made the mistake of running it through the dishwasher.  It ended up getting a huge crack in it after 2 washes.  You get what you pay for.

I also got one on amazon that i think was just called "cajun injector" or something along those lines.  I believe it was made by a company called Mr. BBQ.  This one was all stainless steel so i thought it'd hold up better.  No go.  After 6 or 7 uses, the gasket went bad and now i have to see if they sell the gaskets that go on the inside of the injector or if I'm just out another 20 bucks.

I've taken a look on Amazon (uk guy here) and there just seems to be the cheap nasty ones :/ think I'll just have to take the plunge on a decently reviewed one and hope. Two of the semi decent ones are the stainless steel type that you describe :(

Hey, just wanted to give you an update.

I decided rather than throwing my injector away, I'd try to fix the problem first. I ended up ordering a new silicone o-ring for the inside of the injector for like 2 bucks on Amazon and that seems to have fixed my complaint with the stainless steel injector.

Find a large animal  veterinarian and ask where you can buy a large stainless syringe.. They work great

We have "farm and ranch" stores in our area ie: TSC (tractor supply company) and they carry a line of animal medical supplies........including good syrings. Find one of them type stores.
