Hi all,

I'm a new member from Magnolia, TX.  I've been smoking meat for quite a while; started using a small dome Brinkman smoker and then got into a homemade heavy metal smoker on a trailer.  I consider myself a novice but am learning as much as possible.  I recently started building a permanent smoker that is more flexible than the other two.  I look forward to being a member.

Welcome to the forum. You'll find a lot of very experienced and helpful people here. If you can't find an answer with the search bar at the top of the page, post a question and you'll get plenty of help. Happy smokin', David.

Good morning and welcome to the forum, from a cold and wet day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Magnolia  around Tomball ?     I like watching smoker builds

Thanks.  I plan on uploading pics from my work; I need to gather them from iPad and put them in order.  Also, I've gotta figure out how to add an album and upload.   It looks fairly easy - hopefully within a few days.

Cool    we will be waiting

I use photobucket.  Compress my photos, (On my computer), to 640 pixels on the largest side, download them to photobucket and from there copy and paste to the site.

Good luck.

Hello Pat,
I'm just through the woods near Cleveland. This is a great site for smoking, novice or expert. I've learned a lot here myself.

I put my album out there this morning.  My smoke house is a work in progress.  Actually, I barely started the "house" part of it.  Finished the firebox and chimney.  Keeps me busy and out of trouble.

I would like to have a dedicated smoke house. "probably move my recliner, TV and bed in there"

Gary

Glad you joined the group. The search bar at the top of any page is your best friend.
About anything you wanna know about smoking/grilling/curing/brining/cutting or slicing
and the list goes on has probably been posted. Remember to post a QVIEW of your smokes.
We are all smoke junkies here and we have to get our fix. If you have questions
Post it and you will probably get 10 replies with 11 different answers. That is
because their are so many different ways to make great Q...
Happy smoken.
David

Dave,

Just read your note while I was putting a few more pics out there.  I smoked a wild hog last weekend.  Yes, I will do it - but may take a little while to figure out how.
