You might think in a near metropolis, acquiring some of the specialty items you read about here or read about in magazines is simple and not too involved. Since reading about Leah's pink and blue salt, we've been on a hunt to locate them. 7 weeks later, one of them sits in out cupboard

As A saltoholic there is a very identifiable taste difference. Hello water retention and increased blood pressure.

Beautiful to see my friend!

AND, you will see that with black, grey and red salts, blood pressure is LOWERED, there is no bloat, and energy increases due to more minerals in your diet! Also, with pink, you gain the minerals not the bloat and blood pressure remains as is!

GORGEOUS!

I hope I can handle the stress of finding the other colors....Id hoped I made progress ... The hunt continues

The salt I use the most is Hawaiian red salt, also known as ala'e salt (its actually spelled ala'ea but we don't pronounce the last a so I don't spell it that way.

I do have a couple of the Himalayan pink salts as well and they are good.

My favorite salt is Kauai pink salt! It's also called Hanapepe salt. Because of how it's made you cannot buy this anywhere... My last chef was from Kauai and he would always bring me back a bag! I'm almost out and I hope my brother can hook me up with some.

What's blue salt???

I should Google blue salt but if I remember correctly, Leah said its Persian? BUT...that's only if I remember correctly

Update: blue salt IS Persian. Decided not to be too dense and checked Amazon for salt. They have 'em all. Blue jus currently our of stock but will be in shortly.

They should be here in a few days....duh!

Hello Cuties!

On salt:

I too love the Hawaiian red salt, black lava salt and their jade green bamboo salt!

Cyprus pyramid salt flakes - in white & black - are my favorites too!

Pink salt with truffles (or any truffle sea salt) is in my top five, as is a good gray sea salt or smoked Chardonnay sea salt.

While coffee salt, and many flavored ones, and the elegant "Fleur de sel" are delicious and fun; the above mentioned are my favorite ones - and the blue Persian too! (It's compressed so much that hues of beautiful blue appear). In many of my threads on this site, I show the salt shaker and use that that salt.

Happy savory using to all! SALT CAN BE HEALTHY WHEN CHOOSING A GOOD SALT! Cheers! - Leah

FUN ??? I"ve turned gourmet.. On the oatmeal box where is says to add a pinch of salt, I used the pink stuff.....

And I love that! It's how it just should be! Here is to all loving Pink! (From Victoria's Secret's line of yoga gear & hoodies titled such, to good sea salt, and fabulous smoked salmon and Rose wine, & wild boar left rare in the middle, and so it goes)!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Cheers! - Leah

Wow, I had no idea!  My daughters have bought me all kinds of pink, black, and red salts.  I've used them off and on.  Hmmm, will have to start using them more.

Leah, if Victoria's Secret started selling pink, black, and red salts my wife would have A LOT more special undies!  Now there's a marketing idea for them.  Put a salt and rub cart in the store and market BBQ and Lace to the guys!

Back to the 2012 Cab from the family bottle.  Salute!

Agreed Ray!

They have that fabulous "PINK" line of loungey cute clothes but if adding sexy salt to their bevy of items, it would sell indeed! Too fun!

Here's to fabulous and savory things! Happy weekend to all!

After the storms subside, I really WILL get some new posts & threads up! Cheers! - Leah

Since I'm in East Texas I would have to order any special salt.  We have Morton's salt mine in Grand Saline about 25 miles away
