I'm a little new o the whole smoking meat and using smokers deal and I am excited to see what new things and old tricks I could learn from here. I have been BBQing it up for as long as I can remember but never thought to venture out into the smoking side until my dear friend who passed away recently told me to start cooking like a man bub lol. So I just recently bought a master built smoker and now I'm looking forward to cooking like a man!

Draven Welcome to SMF the search bar is a good source of info, lots of good people willing to help also.

Good afternoon and welcome to the forum, from a nice sunny and cool day here in East Texas. Lots of great people with tons of information on just about  everything.

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  WELL!  It really is a small world.!  Family moved to Mathis in 1967 ( I was 10 ) and in December 1999 I moved to England.  Grew up in Mathis.  Dad still lives on the lake near Point Loma.  Get back as often as I can.  Many good folks here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Thanks Danny, been a while since I was down in that neck of the woods.  A little dig, Supposed to be in the 70's for the next couple of days then the rain moves back in,

70's??  Man we are trying to dodge heavy snow storms here.  Supposed to be coming from across the pond.  It wouldn't hurt my feelings if you folks didn't want to share those sort of things.  Keep Smokin!
