I am looking to build a small Japanese Grill.  I was wondering if I could purchase the Steel Campfire Grill (flat service with 3 sides) and use 2 propane burners underneath.  I know that the shelf holding the burners would have to be adjustable so that the blue flame would just touch the cooking surface.  (I thought maybe a old hospital cart might be used to hold both the burners and grill.  I do not think I can use the burners with portable tanks, as I think the propane tanks would get to hot and could blow up.  Any suggestions.  Again, thank you.  As I now live with my mom, age 94, this type of project is a great outlet for me.

Can you weld or fabricate ?   You can make one pretty much like said.  If you don't want to go to the trouble My #2 son who does fabricate just bought him one I think at Academy Uses it almost every night. Runs off propane and works great. You talk about putting a quick sear on a steak it does it. They do a lot of veggies, love Japanese and grilled food  I think he paid about $250.00
