tried my hand at making mini bacon bombs, today. started with ground deer meat, cut up a onion, then put cheese inside it to. then put rub on it and wrapped with bacon.then last 20 minutes put your favorite bbq on it.

YUMMEEEEEEE.....had some extra meat left so i tried my hand at a meatloaf on the smoker too.

putting brown sugar on top of ketchup surely makes the meatloaf good.this is both mini bombs and meatloaf together.thanks Danny Lang

Da'Bomb!! Do you have to cut the onions sort of small so they will cook thru?

I have been toying with cutting an onion in 1/2. Coring 1/2 out of the center, then wraping the onion in bacon. I am worried that the meat will be dried beyond recongnition by the time the onion cooks. Maybe a min in the micro nuker device before starting would help.

Anyway, great idea. Looks great. I bet you couldn't make 'em fast enough at the camp...LOL

i cut the onions in about 1/4 inch pieces, and cooked it until the bacon was done, you want to cook deer meat at a medium rare to keep it from drying out. the onion was cooked throughly, please try my reciepe to see if you like it.
