Happy Thanksgiving to all our American Friends!

I thought I would join in with the celebrations and do something with Turkey.

Original idea was a Turkey Roulade. But it would not roll so it had to be Turkey Pie.

2 Turkey Leg Joints, Home Cured Bacon, Leaks and Stuffing.

Sprayed cake tin with oil, lined with the bacon, cut leek Lenght ways and used lengths of leak next to the Bacon, then unrolled the Turkey Joint, added into the tin next. Stuffing in next, then a whole joint in the middle, cover all with stuffing.

Topped with Chopped Leeks.

Will post finished pictures later today!!!! Hope it turns out.

Hi Case,

First time I have used one, it was not what I was expecting, thought it would be more like Supermarket processed meat, when I opened it it was Chunks of leg meat held in a circle with clear film, which is led on while cooking.

So my idea of cutting it an inch thick to then layer up with the other ingredients and roll back up a skewer with Kebab sticks, was out, so Pie it was!

Looks like it turned out tasty!

Hi Case, yes it was really tasty.

Looks great! Maybe a mashed tater top for me though.

Hi b-one, the Leek topping was nice, the leeks around the outer edge I would possibly soften first, they were cooked but a little stringy. Always honest with my smoking.
