So I was at my local RD the other day for a loin to make some CB and I ran across a jerk seasoning. Well I have been wanting to make my own but just haven't gotten around to it so I purchased said jerk. On my way home I opened the jar for a taste and WOW it has a nice kick! I had to get some thighs to try it on immediately. They are on the mini now sitting at 230. After a bit I'll crank it up to crisp the skin (that's the plan at least) These will be for lunch tomorrow [emoji]128522[/emoji]

Let us know how it turns out  with pictures

Haha! You guys are real comedians [emoji]128514[/emoji] Sorry my little lady got home from work and at that point everything else plays second fiddle. I didn't even eat the chicken it is for lunch today. I'll take pics before I eat it [emoji]128522[/emoji] I smoked it with some apple and hickory chunks for a couple if hours then crisped the skin. The mini is such an awesome transformer! She held at 240 beautifully. I have recently put the clay pot bottom defuse in her and last night the ash guard. Pics will be here about lunch time. pc farmer pc farmer it's the Ocho rios brand.

Here's a pic of the finished jerk thighs. They were very tasty. The heat level was just right. Gonna try this jerk seasoning on some pulled pork soon

Looks tasty! I wouldn't even bother doing a slow smoke on poultry anymore. I don't really find any benefit. Crank the mini up and let er fly!

I love jerk seasoning, pork, chicken, whatever it is I love it.  What I usually do is fire up the grill and cook the chicken, then dip it into some warm  jerk sauce I make before serving.  Would like to dry a dry rub seasoning.  What is the brand you found?

Enjoy the weekend.

Usually make all my jerk marinades/rubs homemade from scratch but for those lazy fellas out there you might want to try walkerswood jerk marinade. It's premade in the bottle and ready to put on the meat. This is probably the only pre-made marinade I would even touch but only when time is an issue. There is a blog online of my favorite way to make the best jerk. Below is the link for the blog
