You are normally better off using direct radiant heat with a rotisserie.  The rapid heating of the meat (facing the coals) is the major reason why it needs to be turned to provide even cooking.
Which is the great thing about the mini-wsm. Pull out the diffuser and Blammo you have direct heat!

Case aka DirtSailor asked me to chime in on this so my 2 cents follows. I've always liked rotisserie anything so converted an old beer keg into a cooker that my original intent was to make 10 gallon batches of que sauce in. I hate Wal-Mart, however, during the pre-summer stocking of grills and such they had a rotisserie set-up for $25 which I bought. Got me a drill bit from Home Depot that would drill SS and 4 easy holes later had the brackets mounted. I found Weber charcoal baskets at HD as well to keep the coals off the rounded bottom...2 in a box for $15. Two bricks in the bottom of the keg and the baskets fit perfectly, allowing me to use both or only one depending on the cook. I'll eventually (?) get me a spinner that can handle a turkey with a more powerful motor. I understand they have battery operated ones for campers/hunters. With the Mini I don't think you would need the lid so perhaps this spinner would work on that as well. I, personally, would not or could not spend $150 on a add-on.....but, that's just me. Some pics..

spares with 2 baskets of coals

pork loin

with 2 baskets & a apple chunk that ignited

with only one coal basket & a couple brix dropped in

the one from Lowes has motor and brackets included to where the other one doesn't... thinking the end that goes into the motor can be cut down so the spits not so long....

JcK that's what I'm hoping. I'd also like to find something that is aluminum that may be approx 6 inches high and 14 inches wide (like a ring) that will allow me to mount the brackets as well as add additional space. Like this

I've thought of making one but the pots are impossible to get here! Next time I'm in the kitchen supply store I'll take a measuring tape to see if they have any that would work...

You can't make huli huli without the huli!

I just picked up another pot... One of our locally owned stores BiMart carries a brand called Hoffritz. The 32qt. Tamale Pot is a perfect fit. Here they only stock them during canning season. Downside is the metal handles.

Thanks for the heads up! I'll be on the look out for that one as well. The Imusa pot has metal handles so I'm use to that.

I'm hoping to catch the local walmart manager someday and ask him, very nicely, if he can get some. I have a few friends here that want a mini. I've known the guy since I was a kid.
