Local market had a sale on pork butts @ $1.79 lb (only had small ones though) SO picked up a 4lb one and decided since I'd been wanting to try slicked instead of the usual pulled pork this was the perfect time.  Put butt on smoker last night at 4:20 pm , into smoker heated to 250- wind promptly started howling and temps shot up and were very hard to keep under 275 .Used cherry/hickory and a bit of apple for smoke  I think it still turned out pretty decent!!
