Hello All

Looking at adding a better smoker to the cooking arsenal. I read about the Camp Chef DLX and what I liked about the smoker was the heat range, dual temp readings, control panel set up.

Not sure on the quality of the unit other than what I read on the Amazing Ribs site. I was thinking about hoping elective, but heard the pellets were a better way to go verses my original pick was a better electric one. Currently have a older Weber style black bullet.

As I get further into this whole smoking thing, I'm sure the things in this site will be a huge help!! :grilling_smilie:

Thank U in advance for any input.

. Common no buddy has a good or bad opinion or just an opinion?
Hey Jeff...sorry you haven't gotten any feedback on your request yet.  To be honest, I don't know what members, if any, own a Camp Chef pellet grill.  That could be why you haven't had any responses.

What you might try...go to the Pellet Smokers Group Section, and scan through the "Roll Call on Brands of Pellet Grills" thread.  You might find some Camp Chef owners that way, them you could PM them directly for input.

Here's a link to the thread I'm talking about:

Hope that helps...Good luck!

Wow ......wealth of education. After much review, as much as I like Camp Chef's appearance, dual temp probs and ash clean access tray. I think I'm going with either the Rec Tec or Yoder 640. I started to get concerns on the reviews of flimsy covers, poor sealing of door, that if your gonna do it mise well do it right. I'll be ordering on tomorrow and hope to be trying it out by Saturday.

I believe I'm leaning more towards the Rec Tec Thanks for the input :grilling_smilie:
