Hello and welcome to the forum

Gary S

Just found this forum...have a new smoke vault 24. Never smoked a thing in my life! Want to find a recipe for a smoked turkey breast. Look forward to learning more.
An essential key to smoking success is knowing what your smoker internal temperature is, and (especially with chicken/turkey) what the internal meat temperature is. I am a recent "newbee", and my first real success came after I got a Maverick 733 digital thermometer. Find threads related to what you want to do, in this case smoked turkey breast, and use what you learn to create your own smoked masterpiece.

Oh yeah, don't do what I did when I first started and think you know more than these guys that have been successfully doing it for years. Follow the advice in the threads and if your first smoke is successful, you will be hooked for life.

WAIT!!! What am I saying. List your smoker for free on Craigslist and leave this forum and never look back. This addiction will consume you after your first successful smoke......Nah, just kidding. It is really fun, and the variations are endless. There is a lifetime's worth of possibilities in this hobby.

Good luck and remember, there is no support group for meat smokers if you become addicted.

Searching for a peppered turkey breast recipe....any suggestions?

Thank you....where do you look for recipes?  I'm hunting for a peppered turkey breast recipe...can't find a thing!

Welcome to the group. One of the first things I ever smoker was a turkey breast. I don't think I had a recipe and surely didn't have this forum for help. I just kind of winged it and it came out fine. I use cherry wood and orange juice in the water pan I know that, but don't think I used a bit of seasoning. You can check the search bar at the top of the paper, would think you could find some good info there. Good luck and now I want to smoke another turkey breast haven't done one in a while.
