102* about 15 minutes ago when I started to light the fire in the mini. No sooner did I get the fire going and the down poor began. Counted 20+ lightning strikes in the last 10 minutes and the hairs standing on my arms!

Mini is chugging along almost up to slow smoke temp. Gonna throw these bird parts on sooner than usual, and let the smoker crank up to 400+. My only concern is washing off my rub between
The door of the house and getting the lid back on! It's raining that hard! Gonna take my soap wit me and kill two birds with one stone!

More to follow in a bit!

Smoke away!!!

Sounds like a good idea.  Bathing in the rain.

Awesome...simply awesome!

Those tatters look great too!

Looks like a killer sammie.

Thanks guys they were great! So another 100+ degree day here. I just went out to get the mini going, T-Bone night, and guess what the left over coals re-lit them selves. That how hot it is! Glad the mini was sitting on it's approved fire proof spot. I always snuff them out by closing the dampers. Then shake the ash and add more briquettes. Gotta get my welding gloves and some channel locks to grab the basket!
