Hi fellow smokers!

My name is Joni"Bona"Hallikainen and I'm a finnish BBQ smoking enthusiast. Few years ago I went to Dallas, TX to visit my buddy and got bite big time by a smoking bee. Since then I've been learning and mastering my skills and own rubs. I also started to make custom pits, being the only pit maker here in Finland.

Extremely happy that I found this site and looking forward to learn more about the art of smoking meat!

 Keep on smokin'!

Hello and Welcome to our addiction.  Texas boy born and bred, now living in England.  Many good folk here with a load of experience that they are more than willing to share.  If you have specific questions just start a thread and someone with experience will be along soon to offer advice.  All info you can provide us with such as smoker type, location and so on will help us answer any questions you may have, and pictures help a bunch.  Spend some time doing some research on the forums, tons of advice and recipes already available there.  Check out Jeff’s 5 day smoking E-Course ( link below ) that will help you get started.  We look forward to your contributions.  Have fun.  Good luck.  Keep Smokin!

Bona,
Welcome to the forum. Glad to have you on board. Happy to have you spreading the word about smoking to your fellow Finns. Interested to see what you are building over there. Send pics.
And watch out for that Texas guy living in England..... word has it that the limeys are hiring Texas mercenaries to take over the Scandinavian smoker market. After all....didn't they try to invade you guys a couple times over the last few hundred centuries? : )

That was the Russians that tried so the Finns joined the Germans and had to fight the Brits in the long run.History is great to know so we do not repeat bad things in the past

Life would be alot easier if everyone sit around a smoker full of meat and settled their problems.Maybe add a few bottles of Scotch and some Beer.hahahahahahahah

Texas mercenaries?  Scandinavian smoker market?  I have NO idea what you are talking about!  That's my story and I'm sticking to it!!  Could you also included detailed drawings when you post picts of your builds?  Purely for educational purposes you understand.
