Bear's Father's Day "2014"

We had a Great Day at Bear Jr's Cave. He turned his Big Green Egg loose on some nice Delmonico Steaks, and some Smoked Stuffed Baked Taters for the 4 of us.

It was a Beautiful Day too. It wasn't even raining, for a change!!

I also got to feed the fish----Trout, Catfish, and anything else that showed up.

He also surprised me with a new seat for my old Gravely----It really needed one badly!!!

Thanks for looking,

Bear

Here's the Twin Eggs. When only one is needed, it's always the Big Green one

I also got to feed the fish. Hope you can see the mess of Trout in this pic:

This one is easier to see with the light colored bottom. He's about 18", and he likes to lay right where the Spring water enters the pond:

My Father's Day present??? Bear Jr bought me a new seat for my 29 year old Gravely & mounted it for me.
The old one was all cracked and had a few years worth of duct tape holding it together:

Great lookin food and fish.

I would have them all caught out of there.

That's one tractor you cant kill.  They run forever.

I used to have a Gravely looked just like that!  Sold it with the house 25 years ago, been walking behind a mower ever since.  Man, I miss that ole' girl...

Thanks for sharing Bear, sounds like a good father's day.

Thanks Adam!!

Yeah---We wait for the fish to be the right size. Next Spring a lot of Trout & Catties should be between 12" & 18"----Perfect. If some get too big for frying or grilling, those will be ripe for Smoking.

As for my Baby:

I bought that Gravely when it was a Baby, 29 years ago.
4 years ago when it turned 25 yrs old, my Son bought me a Zero Turn Cub Cadet, so I could semi-retire my Gravely. Every year I had to switch from mower deck to snowblower, and turn the back wheels inside out & put the chains on & the concrete blocks on the back.
Now since we wanted the old Gravely to last even longer, we semi-retired it to snowblowing only, so I can leave the blower & blocks & chains on, and leave the wheels in the inside out narrow track position. So that blower stays on that Gravely 365 days a year!

I already had more trouble with that Cub in 4 years than the Gravely in 29 years.
That Gravely has always been awesome. It mowed for 25 years, the first 15 was over 4 acres, and it snow blew over 1/4 mile of Driveway for it's first 10 years.

Looks like a great meal!

You obviously raised that kid right.

Suffering from "Old Timers' Disease"?

I got two Fathers' Days this year.

Celebrated it one week early in total bliss.

No problem?  Just celebrated it again a week later!

I will have to remember that.

Wow Bear!

What an outside setup and terrific place and then fish even to gaze at, and the food, family, and fun you must have had!

It all looked and sounded spectacular!!!

So terrific to see!
