Haven't had my mom with me for a few years now but to honor her think I'll cook a nice steak tonight. It was my mom who gave me my love for cooking at a young age. Love you mom. Happy mothers day to all the Mom's in the site

I won't be smoking anything due to a busy day. But I picked up some fillets from the local butcher, they look wonderful. I'll be grilling those and asparagus, to go with lobster tail rissoto. The rissoto worries me a little as I have never prepared it. I may ask my girlfriend to tackle that.

A cute little pork roast rubbed with garlic smashed into a paste with salt and black pepper and sage, sides of rice and a carrot/corn mix, cooked for my partner Linda, a mother of six.

My mother taught me to cook, too, but I'm not limited to what she liked.

Done a turkey yesterday for my Wife, Mom & Mom in law.... Today my wife wants a burger on the Weber... Moms day and I get to fire up the grill... Almost feel a little guilty ! LOL.

My Mother left us in 1992, but for Mrs Bear I'll be making a couple of Bone in Ribeyes in a little while, with Baked Taters & you guessed it-----Broccoli !!!

rissoto isn't as scary as they make it out to be. It does require babysitting tho. Hope it turns out well.

everyday is a day to fire up the grill!! Got a splinter in you finger make it better by grilling. Got into a car accident make it better by grilling. Had a hard day at work make it better by grilling and drinking. See everything is better because of grilling!!

I have a Tri-tip on the Weber some ribeyes to go on when that's almost done. Some shrimp will be going on after that. I made some "Bang Bang" sauce to try on them. Sweet Corn to round it out.

Yep, Mom is dancing with the Angels, but it was with her recipes written on the back of computer punch cards and a Fannie Farmer Cookbook I still have I taught myself to cook at university forty years ago.  She taught me how to eat great tasting food and I haven't stopped since.

Today is leftover pulled pork I smoked for a potluck last Thursday.  It is still yummy.

Just did some Ribeye and Corn. Was going to fire up the smoker and do a Pork Butt and try baking some Rye bread in the smoker but the wife wanted Steak and today is all about here

Be well and I hope you all had a great day

I put a beef brisket and a pork butt in the smoker. I also diced up red skin potatoes and placed them in a foil pan with putter and placed them under the meat. Wow they were good! It was my first brisket and it was ok but the pork butt, I lost count and it gets better each time I make it! My family and this mom loved it! Happy Mother's Day to the other moms who smoked today!

Actually bought my first smoker yesterday and did my first meal with it tonight for Mothers Day.

Smoked two Tri Tips, with some corn on the cob, potatoes, and corn bread for mom and the family.

They loved it, and I was proud of how it came out as well. I have been a great griller, but now I'm excited to start learning the ways of smoking. Just puts flavor into it that a propane grill will never achieve :)

my thread is toward the top if you guys want to check it out.

I smoked a brisket on Mother's Day.  I did it on my kamado grill.  It was the first time doing it with lump charcoal and hickory wood chunks.  I smoked it for almost 10 hrs and it came out better than I had anticipated.  Can't wait to do a pork butt on it.
