I walked out this morning and noticed these...........

I pulled up about 25 or 30 bulbs from this spot last fall cause Baby Sister wanted some. They have been around along time, I think the variegated are Amaryllises

And the roses are already dropping their first flowers

Bad picture, but the ground below the Rome rose is covered in bloom leaves. LOL I trim that sucker back about 3 times a year with a chainsaw!

I need to send you my basil plant so you can give it a pep talk. It's the only plant I've ever seen that seems to be perfectly healthy, but appears to be slowly shrinking. Those are some beautiful flowers you have there!

gee, I walked out this morning to a snow storm and ice on the roads. the only thing green around here is my envy. though it did make my pot of backbone stew taste better

Yeah these are definitely amaryllis actual variety name is 'Hermitage' or 'Minerva'. Wish our weather would permit these, tried once, they just did not take the winter :(

Yeah I was sorta being a smart ass. You can get even in August when its 100 degrees with 100% humidity here.

They are always the fist to bloom, well them and all those bromeliads in the backyard. Most of them are open too.
