Hello ladies and Gentlemen. My name is Wes, I'm a 37 yr old father of 4 who enjoys smoking pretty much any meat I can convince my wife to buy @ the store. Im from Liberty, MO and love the deep culture of bbq kansas city has. I currently am stuck using a 50/50 chargriller offset smoker, but have my 500 gallon propane tank soaking to get the odor out, and plan on building a dual 3500lb axle reverse flow smoker. With 6 of us in my home im usually cooking a good quantity of meat anyhow, and everyone who's had my cooking has insisted I should compete...coming from KC natives, they've officially swollen my head enough that I want to..lol. Ive judged at a couple local competitions, and I am excited to get started....funds and time allowing. Any how, ive been stalking other builds to get ideas for mine, and would appreciate any help I can get to ensure I do it right the first time. Thanks for reading!

Hello Wes and welcome, you've come to the right place. When you get ready to start your build just ask if you need any help or have questions, and oh yeah be sure and post a lot of pictures.

Thank you for the warm welcome. I spent the entire weekend smoking pork butts and watching bbq pitmasters (feeling like I could beat all of them if course...lol) and dreaming of my build.
One question I do have is if someone could link me to a calculator so I can get some ideas of baffle size/stack length and diameter/etc.
