Hi Folks,

I've done some searching on the site to see if there was a discussion about the different brands of pellets out there. Maybe my search skills aren't that great, but I wasn't able to find a dedicated thread on this topic.

I've talked to some folks that swear by certain brands of pellets for different reasons. Some say that certain brands contain a lot of "filler", others say that some of the flavors don't really come from having that type of wood in the pellet. Is there any truth to that?  I have mainly used CookinPellets Perfect mix and a few different flavors of REC TEC pellets and like them both. What I would like to hear is what brand you prefer (if any), the flavor of that brand you prefer and why you like them.

Hey Brian,

Here's a thread dedicated to discussing different brands of pellets:

I'm using CookinPellets 100% hickory right now with good results.  I've also used BBQr's Delight pellets that performed well.  One pellet I haven't tried yet, but want to, is Lumberjack...I keep hearing good things about them.

Awesome. That's what I was looking for! I figured this had been discussed...I guess I need to work on my search skill.

Thanks SeenRed!
