So I am building a grill right now and I have this question. I am ready to build the firebox and designed it with a slope at the bottom and a one inch hole running the front of the firebox for two reasons. One it will allow the ash to fall out of the fb so that way I dont have to worry about that and it serves as a air intake. My question is if I put a steeper slope on it the ash can fall easier but then it puts the one inch hole to a two inch hole. That makes it 28 sqin to 56 sqin on the air intake. I was wondering if its possible to give a fire to much air.
