"WHERE is my SUNDAY paper?!"
The irate customer calling the newspaper office,
loudly demanded to know where her Sunday
edition was.
"Madam", said the newspaper employee, "today is Saturday.
The Sunday paper is not delivered until tomorrow, on SUNDAY".
There was quite a long pause on the other end of the phone,
followed by a ray of recognition as she was heard to mutter, ....
"Well, sh&t, that explains why no one was at church either.

May I tell a true story? Somewhat similar situation.

A while back, (before e. mail) I flew from NYC to Grand Rapids on every Wednesday for a team meeting on a project I was involved with.

Because It was a regular scheduled meeting, there was no need to confirm.

One Wednesday, as usual, I booked a flight and head to Grand Rapids, taxi cabbed from the airport to the meeting.

But no one was there. I asked the manager of the building why no one was in the conference room for the meeting, perhaps there had been a major traffic accident some place?

Manager said, "Sir, you are a very funny guy! it's deer hunting season opening day, why would anyone be here?"

You want to know how stupid I felt on my way back to NYC?
