Not that the Brookstone single probe Grill Alert would be my first choice given I have the Maverick 732 but I walk into a local Goodwill and just sitting there is the Grill Alert. Of course did it work...yes perfect showed 72 degrees had clean Duracell batteries looked like it had been used once all for $10. She can serve a purpose now.

Thanks I've researched and this is a weird little Thermometer sold under several different names from Oregon Scientific to Weber. The Brookstone Price is $69 which is insane for single probe. I plan to heat shrink the probe which of course seems to be the main failure of the unit according to the web otherwise can't complain.
